Sponsors – More information about sponsorship will be at the Spring Launch Party on April 5. Team riders have amazing sponsors and community supporters thanks to their hard work and results in 2016. Sponsors for 2017 include, Tin Shed, Sports Garage, Specialized, Yeti, Qloom, Smith Optics, Yellowbelly Chicken, Sweet Cow Ice Cream, Premier Mortgage Group, Boulder Community Health, Skratch, and Dirt Labs. The Team sponsors have allowed for lower fees, lower coach to rider ratios, new programming, jerseys, coaching at races, and more. Sponsor discounts can be found on the website Deals Page. These deals are ONLY for SMBA ATHLETES. Being sponsored is a big responsibility:
-Speak positively about sponsors at all times
-Be a good ambassador and follow the SMBA code of conduct at all times
-Do not share deals or the code to the sponsorship page on the website (dealsrock)
-Always wear your jersey on the podium at races
Tin Shed Sports Sponsorship: A Team shop sponsor, Tin Shed, is giving Team riders, and Team riders only exclusive discounts on bikes, parts and accessories during the team launch month. The Team bike discount for 2017 is 25%! Riders must visit/order through the store to receive the discount. All other Parts and accessories are 15% off during the year.
Sports Garage Sponsorship: NEW!!! Team shop sponsor, Sports Garage, is giving Team riders, and Team riders only exclusive discounts on bikes, parts and accessories during the team launch month. Sprots Garage bikes include Yeti, Santa Cruz and Pivot. Riders must visit and order order through the store to receive the discount. All other Parts and accessories are 15% off during the year.
Smith Optics Sponsorship: Smith will be at the Team Spring Launch Party. You will be able to order glasses and gear.
Qloom Jerseys – Qloom will be at the launch party so you can try on sizes for jersey and check out the other sweet gear you have access to. Jerseys can be purchased through the SMBA shop on the Qloom website between March 29- and April 12 for the discounted price of $50. Orders must be made during this window in order to get a Jersey for 2017. New for 2017 SMBA is offering short sleeve and long sleeve jerseys. Last years jerseys can be purchased through the office for $40. The jersey has been designed by our very own Chase Willie and the SMBA design Team. Please be sure to thank them for doing such a great job.
T-Shirts – The Design Team also worked on the t-shirts and stickers!!!-Big high five. T-shirts are available to team members and parents for $10.
Hoodies – Hoodies will be available again this year for $20.
Team Captains – If you would like to be considered for Team Captain for 2017 please email Jessie@lertprograms.com by May 1, 2017. Being a Team Captain is a big responsibility, these riders must set a great example at all times, assist their fellow riders, assist the coaches, thank our sponsors and more. If you have any questions, your team captains are a great resource along with your coaches.
Paperwork is due your first week of riding for Spring session or by June 5, for Summer Team and Devo Team. Paperwork can be found on the SMBA website under Team Lounge – Handouts and Waivers.
Code of Conduct – You and a parent/guardian need to read, sign and understand the athlete Code of Conduct.
Goal Sheets – Please think carefully about your goals for the season. Your coaches will be going over these with you at training. Remember to have big picture goals and steps towards achieving those goals that can be accomplished within the session if you work hard.
Jefferson County Waiver – Each athlete and parent/guardian needs to sign and date the waiver. (devo does not need to turn in a JeffCo waiver)
Ride Home Waiver – If you would like to ride home from SMBA practice on your own instead of being picked up by a parent/guardian you must have the ride home waiver signed for 2017.

Please tell your classmates and friends how awesome SMBA is. There is still space in Junior Rider, Explorer and Cycling Sisters camps, as well as, the second session of Devo and Super Grom.
Fundraising is a key element to the program’s success. This fundraiser is super fun and gets SMBA riders out in the community working to make SMBA even more awesome. After all it is their program. Each athlete will have the goal of selling 20 tickets or more tickets.
SPRING RIDERS PLEASE SELL and RETURN YOUR TICKETS BY MAY 25!
All tickets must have ticket stubs and money turned in by July 27.
Although racing is not required, many SMBA athletes choose to race. Our racers and coaches work together to create an environment conducive to success. By working with teammates, racers are able to both share their strengths and access the collective knowledge and approach of the team.
