LERT Newsletter June 2022

We hope everyone found some much needed time to relax over the Memorial Day Weekend, and is looking forward to enjoying the official start of summer! This week kicks off our summer SMBA season, in which we will be running camps for young riders along with our Team Camps.

LERT Newsletter May 2022

Congratulations to our athletes and members for a successful winter season! EMSC has transitioned into Spring Camps, where the focus begins on the progression for the next season, including fundamentals, personal skiing assessment and equipment testing. We are encouraged to see the participation and focus of the athletes this spring, and work is already underway for planning with Eldora for next season.

LERT Newsletter April 2022

April is here, along with the culmination of championship events and end of season races! The final Lights on Chute training session was a big hit with athletes sporting costumes, as T-Rex chased down a taco and banana in the GS courses on Chute, nearly catching them – only to fall and not be able to get back up! Our Big Mtn / Freestyle Team wraps up the season this weekend after a highly successful U12 event on Psychopath, along with our other programs attending the Aspen Finale, USASA Nationals in Copper, along with the GS Spectacular and always popular Loveland Derby!

LERT Newsletter March 2022

March is here, and once again the season continues to pick up momentum as we move forward to Championship events this month throughout the programs. Kudos to our athletes who demonstrated strong fundamentals, confidence, resilience and positive attitudes with the recent qualifiers. Our home races were a huge success thanks to the amazing volunteers who consistently step up to lend a hand and go the extra mile. The success of hosting races comes down to our volunteer community, partnership with Eldora, and dedicated coaches.

LERT Newsletter February 2022

February is arriving strong, with a much needed week of snow at the mountain. Our athletes are moving into the weekend cadence of training, traveling to races and qualifiers. I would also like to commend our staff, parents and families for their collective efforts in carefully navigating the omicron landscape.

LERT Newsletter January 2022

Winter weather has finally settled into the mountains and Eldora is working to complete snowmaking on the backside with the anticipated opening of Corona Lift. With additional trails beginning to open, we will see previously heavy skier/rider slope density spread across the mountain. With the additional terrain, we will begin to move our groups from the morning Chute training blocks to upper mountain skiing/riding drills and progressions.
